my fp rn is someone who shouldnt be my fp. its romantic but he has a gf (he has feelings for me and kissed me previously but hes not leaving her currently even tho hes expressed feeling like they wont last long. he has told her abt the kiss and she forgave him). we have bad boundaries- we see each other every night and cuddle for hours in a borderline sexual/romantic manner. i havent told him hes my fp and i dont want to but he knows i have bpd. i want to stop texting him every night to hang out. while he cares abt me deeply, he isnt the one who reaches out to hang out. in the past whenever ive isolated he will usually wait til i text again for us to see each other unless its by coincidence (hes got a lot of friends in my building so hes here frequently in shared spaces). i want to distance a bit and break my mentality of “he will eventually leave her for me” because even if he will, i shouldnt waste my time waiting for someone. but every time i distance ill either break and end up reaching out or we see each other by coincidence and then we go back to hanging out every night. any tips?

Budget: $300-1000? Wiggle room depending of type of vac and tradeoffs
Main goal: something that makes it easy to keep hardwood areas free of dog hair, makes vacuuming less of a chore
Considerations: allergies and shedding dog
Context: I moved in with someone and we kept his newer Shark Navigator rather than my 90’s Electrolux, and I’ve regretted it ever since. I use it on the carpeted areas and bathrooms, but less often than I’d like to admit, and instead just run a dry dust mop twice a day on the hardwood areas to pick up dog hair and dust.
I wanted to replace the dust mop with a cordless stick vacuum, probably Electrolux and Miele. But now reading so much against corded and bagless, I wonder if I just want a new corded canister vac that I’ll like using more than the clunky Shark, hopefully enough to lug out for the hardwood twice a day (or maybe just once since it’ll be more effective?).
So the options are: Electrolux Ergopedio, Electrolux Well7, or Miele Triflex for cordless stick, or if canister: Miele C-something or Sebo E-something.
I’m having a hard time deciding whether a new canister vac will be convenient enough to replace a stick cordless in this situation? Plug and go, not feeling like weight and replugging is a blocker?

2023.06.08 13:35 lordofthepines How should I migrate my data to a new RAID config on new drives, with limited ports?
I currently have a few terabytes of data on two 8TB HDDs in RAID 0 in their own pool on my home Jellyfin media server. I recently bought 2 4TB SSDs that I plan on putting in RAID 1 to replace those two hard drives. The problem is that I don't have very much space left for SATA data and SATA power ports. I believe I have one left for each. I do however have a dual bay USB dock for SATA drives. I'm not confident in my TrueNAS abilities enough to plan this out on my own procedure and go forth with it. I could use the bay with the SSDs, create that as a new RAID 0 pool (side note: I don't suppose I can have to pools of the same name, can I rename the old pool easily?), Let the data migrate, shut everything down, disconnect the old drives, install the new ones, and call it good. Would that work smoothly?

Okay so my wife and I live in a 4 plex. It is basically a raised ranch duplex made into an upper and lower on each side. The outside yard wraps around the whole building like a u shape. This is all common area shared. We have lived here going on 4 years. Since the day we moved in we have had access to a small maybe 5'x5' garden area. Said area was framed off when we moved in. Its south side of building. For the last 3 summers this would be 4th my wife and I have spent endless time and hundreds of dollars in dirt and fertilizers maintaining that garden. So the neighbour next to us we dont get along (not always the case). Great neighbours up until last May. Last May they had visitors over. The company came while we were out. When we got home their company was parked in our spot. At this time there was no Visitor parking. The lot only has 5 spots for 4 homes and one tenant had 2 vehicles so there was no visitor parking. This was emailed to everyone. When I got home crom groceries I double parked the vehicle in. As you can guess didnt go well. I was walking on a cane just had a cast removed from broken ankle. Anyway long story short the neighbour along with her company assaulted me physically and verbally. Cops came looked at video and determined they were lying about what happened and actually charged their visitors with 2 assaults one on me and one for assaulting my wife. The neighbour felt we should have been in trouble not them. Ever since its constant harassment. Sends cops for no reason to our house, tried to extort money from us when our friend passed away this january, lies to management on us etc... So last week she rushed over and planted in the farden space we use. I emailed management and told them about it. They told me they would not address it as the garden is common area. I emailed back that this is fine. I told them that I own the dirt and I would be retrieving my property. Can I get in trouble for taking my dirt out of that garden and putting it in another space I am going to build for myself. I know her plants are in there but all shes put us through I am absolutely not going to let her have any access to our stuff. She can go spend hundreds of dollars on her own soil. Please someone let me know how this works.

Today marks one month since my good boy passed. Just venting for emotional release.
Its been a rocky ride. Some days I’m just numb and stone-faced, other days I’m crumbling from tears and anguish. I’m scared and wary of meeting my friends because I fear I may lash out or say something unwanted. They are good people and will tolerate anything, but they don’t deserve to be treated like that. I’m reluctant to meet my family because their sorrow is equally deep, and they will want to “talk about it”, meaning they will lean onto me for support. I just don’t have the emotional space to act therapist right now. Just reading my mom’s texts hurts.
I wish I can say I’m doing better, but I’m not. Everything seems dull and grey. I don’t know how, or if I ever will come out from this state.
I feel like I’m dragging my feet through muck everyday. But I guess I just have to keep going and try my best not to fall.
Having a place where I can just release my feelings is a great help. Really grateful for this community.

Yesterday night my boyfriends friend committed suicide. It is a horrible tragedy. My boyfriend got the news of it this morning. When he told me I immediately called to check on him and try to comfort him but he told me he was fine.
He asked me to be left alone and I reluctantly let him hang up. I don't want to make it about myself because it is simply not. I want to leave him all the space he needs bit I'm terrified.
My bf has had a failed suicide attempt a few years ago himself. Yesterday itself he expressed to me how he still had suicidal thoughts. Before we hung uo today, I made him promise to me that he wouldn't do anything to himself but that doesn't help how I'm feeling. I wish I could go see him but we're in a ldr and there is no option for that at this moment. What if this was the last thing he needed to push him over the edge?
I'm so scared but I don't know who to tell this. I feel selfish and rude because I want to talk to him so desperately while he just wants his peace to grieve. I am not going to complain to my bf obviously and I don't want to tell me friends because it's a sensitive issue. I don't know where my bf is right now. I don't know what he is doing. I'm so scared please tell me what i can do to help him, I feel so helpless.

My husband and I are planning to build our "last house" in about 5 years.
It's going to be rather nontraditional. The entryway is going to be a large, two story atrium greenhouse that opens off to both sides. One wing will be bedrooms and personal spaces, the other wing will be public living space/kitchen/etc.
That being said, this space is going to be very important in that it's the center point of the home.
My intention is to plant a tree the day we move in and watch it grow with our family over the next decades.
My issue at this point is the sheer number of options. I only have a few criteria that I'd like to keep in mind, which is pretty unhelpful for actually narrowing things down.
1) min 15/MAX 20-25 feet - the plan is to never have to prune this thing to keep it from escaping. We haven't set a final ceiling height in stone yet, so there's still some wiggle room here.
2) bare minimum flowering, would prefer fruit. If fitting, needs to be self pollinating.
3) zone 6a/b, but it'll be in a greenhouse so that's less important I guess.
4) I prefer a fuller or umbrella shape that will fill the space rather than just upright and narrow.
That's about all I've got so far. We're clearly still in the very early planning stages, but I figured you'd be the folks to ask about this one! If you've got any favorites that would fit here, I'd love to check them out. Thanks for anything you've got! ☺️

A simplified version of the Indian game Pachisi is Ludo. Ludo was created at the close of the nineteenth century and has remained a well-liked game ever since. Even though the player has some control over what they do, luck largely determines who wins and who fails, making it a great game to play against younger players. According to the results of a single six-sided die throw, up to four players each have four pieces that they race around the outside of a cross-shaped board. A piece turns toward the center of the board to finish its journey after completing a circuit. The game is won by the first person to move all four parts to the center.
Background of Ludo:-
Westerners developed a greater interest in Indian board games during the eighteenth century. Four-player race game Pachisi was well-liked in India and garnered some interest in England. Pachisi is a fairly smart partnership game, so some simplification was probably necessary to make it kid-friendly. What emerged was Ludo. Many of the intricacies of pachisi were avoided by Ludo double. Cowries, with their various scoring criteria, were abandoned in favor of a singular six-sided die for movement control. The rules of partnerships were also ignored, and each participant just focused on racing their own pieces to the finish. Pieces started on the outside of the cross, simplifying the two-way journey to and from the center. The defensive castles were ultimately destroyed. Ludo 2X has always been a great game for kids thanks to its simplicity, but it's not as fun for adults. The game is still being produced in the twenty-first century and has kept its popularity.
Rules for Ludo Double:-
· Can play Ludo Double with two, three, or four.
· In his "yard," which is the region in the corner of the board, each player begins the game with four pieces.
· Players decide at random who gets the first turn.
· A player's turn begins with a die toss.
· A piece from the player's yard may be moved to his start grid with a throw of six. As an alternative, it can be used to move one of his pieces that is already on the track forward by six places.
· Any other throw is used to move one of the player's components on the track forward by the specified distance. The turn is forfeited and the die is passed clockwise around the board to the following person if the player has no pieces on the track.
· After making the appropriate move, a player who throws a six gets another chance to throw. A third throw is equally permitted after a second throw of six. The player's turn is over if the third toss results in a six, though.
· A piece moves clockwise around the board starting from the player's start grid until it reaches the opposite end of the cross from where it left off. After that, it moves up the center row of spaces on that arm until it precisely throws into the middle. The journey of the piece ends in the midst.
· Only one piece may be present in a space at once; the player cannot place one of his pieces on top of another. However, a component may move past a fellow friendly piece.
· The opponent's piece is taken and placed back in that opponent's yard to resume its journey if a piece terminates its movement on a square that is already occupied by that opponent's piece.
· When all four of a person's pieces have landed in the center of the board, that player has won the Ludo Double game. To determine who takes second and third place, other competitors may continue to complete.

I apologize if some of the things I put don't make sense. I'm from the UK, and I've grown up with the slang of the land and such. I (21M) am not really that attractive in the grand scheme of things. The friends I hang out with, or the lads as we in the UK call those groups, are much more attractive than I and are much better than me at talking to girls. So when I have a girlfriend, I always treat it like it's a once in a lifetime thing. But my confidence soured recently when I learned that my recent ex-girlfriend, the only person I can say I ever truly loved, now hates my guts.
I knew this girl for a while, let's call her R. She was a friend of a friend, in another friend circle of ours. While I never really talked to her that much, I knew her well enough that we could be called acquaintances I suppose. While on holiday with that friend group, visiting a friend of ours who lived quite far away, we started talking. We were both in similar situations: I had recently ended things with another girl I was seeing at university, and she had split with her boyfriend of two years. We were both a bit down in the dumps about the whole thing, but we connected over it on holiday. To my surprise, despite barely talking to each other during our brief interactions as part of the friend group, we actually hit it off really well. I drove to and from said place, and brought a friend with me as we really enjoyed the road trip. He told me on the way back that R seemed really comfortable being around me, and said that there might be something there. So I decided to pursue it. I got back, hit her up on Snapchat and asked if she wanted to meet up, and she agreed.
At first things were pretty casual. This was over summer, so we were going outside a lot. We would play pool and bowling at the local bar, and we had a great time doing so. We also went down to our local amusement park, did a bunch of rollercoasters, and we were having a great time together. Things were already quite intimate; we were touchy-feely towards each other. We'd sit on the hill down at the seafront and lean close to each other. Eventually, I decided to make the first move and ask her out on a date. She said yes, and it went really well.
When we officially started dating, it was really impressive given the circumstances. My friends often said she was quite awkward, that she wasn't really affectionate even with her boyfriend of two years, so I agreed I wouldn't rush things at all. It was my birthday, we went to the shopping centre, and got a plush monkey toy (of which we affectionately and well-thought-out named Monkey) and even got a giant cookie from one of my university friends who worked there. She got me a football (football, not soccer, UK football on top) mystery shirt for my birthday, and it was really nice. While we never exchanged "I love you"s or anything, it was clear that it was intimate. However, as the final year of university was about to start, she went back to her university which was at the same place we started talking, near our friend's house up north. I promised I would visit her, and that we would talk on the phone, which we did basically every day, even watch-partying through Disney+ and such. It was great, and I relished every single time we talked.
However, things started getting distant during my birthday dinner. My parents were there, of course, and I invited her out to join us. But my parents kept talking about politics. Granted, I am a politics student, but it was not the conversation I would have wanted for my birthday, especially when my girlfriend was there. Furthermore, the date we arranged for me to go up north was interrupted because my dad told me I had to stay home and watch the cat. I was distraught, and so was she. But I held hope that eventually, we would be together again.
Things went downhill when she came back for her week break around October. I noticed she wasn't replying as much, and I asked her if she was okay and if she needed space. Eventually, it was a third party, the girlfriend of the friend who lived up north, who messaged me to meet us at a park. I knew something was up, so I went. She broke up with me, citing that it was my parents who she felt were a bit rude, and me because I failed to fulfil my promise of seeing her. I understood, bottling up all of my emotions to try and stay as mature as possible. I asked if there would ever be a chance for us to be together again, and she said "never say never" and the likes. When I got home, I'll admit it, I bawled my eyes out. I drank several bottles of beer and confined myself to my room. I never had the heart to tell my parents that they were a major part in the breakup.
My friend from the north and his girlfriend announced they were going to spend a full year in Australia soon after. I didn't have the heart to go to the farewell dinner, because I still felt awkward about being there with R. So instead, the night before, we go bowling, and that's how I get to say my goodbyes.
A full academic year goes by. I could not stop thinking about her the whole time. I've been seeing someone recently, but the emotional attachment isn't there. It's just friends with benefits, I suppose, if you know what that is. But I saw the plush monkey toy that we had together, and the shirt she bought me, so I built up the confidence to talk to her. I sent her a message asking how her exams went, if she was alright. Nothing too straight-forward, just a check up, asking how she was doing. She responded two days later, harrowingly telling me that she didn't want to talk to me anymore, and that she felt agitated every time she tried to have a neutral conversation with me. I offered that if it made her feel better, she could delete me off of Snapchat, and never talk to me again.
I miss her so much. I want to tell her I'm sorry for the way she feels about me, but now I've lost all confidence I had in the first place. I want to move on, spend more time with the girl I'm seeing now, but it just isn't the same as when it was with R. R made me feel special. No one else has made me feel like that. And now I don't know what to do.

Hi!
I have multiple docker volumes/directories I want to backup. I do not have a lot of space and do not need to backup everything.
Restic looks like a great tool for the backups I need, especially the docker images like mazzolino/restic. However, I have dozens of directories I want to backup and would like to avoid having dozens of restic containers running.
Is there a solution already existing where I can configure multiple restic repositories in a single container?
