Hey all, I recently went through a breakup with my partner of 1 year who said she was struggling with depression near the end, and after my therapist mentioned breakups are rarely out of the blue, I find myself wondering if the breakup was due to her depression, or disinterest.

When she broke up with me, she said she didn’t want to let me go bc she thought I was a good person and enjoyed seeing me, but didn’t want to feel like such a bad person every time she couldn’t come out. To me, this felt like out of the blue, bc I still wanted to see if we could work things out.
Given all of this, does it seem like it was the depression that came between us, or was she just disinterested in me and was trying to let me down easy?

My uncle passed away last week. He was my dad's brother. My parents divorced when I was about 3-ish, and in my mother did everything she could to completely destroy my relationship with my dad and his entire side of the family. Growing up, I thought my dad was evil incarnate. She told me horrific story after horrific story. She would throw huge tantrums whenever he would call/send gifts and make every birthday/holiday a nightmare. This behavior extended to all of my paternal family. She told me they were all evil, abusive and that none of them cared about me at all. I "woke up" when I moved out for college, and eventually realized that everything I had been told about my family was not true and restored my relationship with my Dad and all of my paternal relatives. They are wonderful people. I feel so happy and at ease with them, its totally unlike being with most of my maternal relatives. Unfortunately, my dad passed away three very short years later. Colon cancer. The pain I still feel many years after his death is unspeakable. I don't think the pain of it will ever be healed in this lifetime, and now that my uncle has passed it's so much worse.
Aside from my dad, of all my paternal relatives, I was closest with this uncle. He was always so funny and empathetic. I always enjoyed going over to his house and hanging out with him, my aunt and cousins. When my mom found out that I had restored contact with them, she magically got it in her head that she and this uncle had always been super best friends and that he had stood up for her when my dad was beating her lie lie lie lie lie lie. For nearly 10 years she had tried to reiterate this lie to me, and I never played along like she wanted me to. She knew I was regularly in contact with him. How could she think I never discussed everything she did? My uncle HATED her. He hated everything she did to me, to him, and to his entire family. He was hurt by everything I went through and by the loss of the many years we could have had a relationship.
Two days before he passed away, he made it a point to tell me that despite all that had happened, even after he was gone, that I would always have a family. After he had passed on, he was still my family. My aunt was still my family and my cousins were still my family. I would always have a family. These words meant so much. After having my family stolen from me, the reassurance that I will always have one ... I just can't put into words the emotions I have. I am forever grateful that he said them.
I had no intention of telling her that he passed away, but she stalks his facebook and found out. To someone who doesn't know all the background, this appears so kind and polite. But it's clear as day what she wants. Insteading of leaving me alone and allowing me space to grieve, she wants me to play along with her lies, to reaffirm that she has me totally blind to reality and within her control. There is a cafe near me, that also sells yarn... I've been in a few times to buy yarn but never stayed to sit and crochet. There are often groups of older ladies with their projects. TLDR: my pet Sandy & Spider man died, i fell on rocks & now badly injured/in horrid pain. Buddies are aware I’m grieving and in pain, yet nobody cared to message me/check on my well-being. My right leg has been giving me horrid pain, to the point I can’t properly move, sleep or walk. I haven’t slept in days due to this pain, my injury has nearly been a week now & this awful pain hasn’t gone away. I have chronic IBS, so the hard fall has made my condition’s pain even worse. Now, here’s the part where my buddies come along…They’re aware this is going on with me, yet nobody has cared to reach out. They’ve asked for me to give them car rides to the funeral & then back to their place, yet they haven’t considered contributing one bit towards the funeral. My buddies are not struggling, they all hold very good jobs, so it’s not like they’re unable to contribute.
Considering this very sad, painful, trying time- I reached out for help on Facebook for the very first time. I told my buddies the honest truth, that after the hard fall I’ve been in unbearable pain & I’m unable to properly move or sleep. I am grieving heavily while in awful physical pain. I have a very clear memory of early childhood. My parents divorced when I was a baby and I was at my mom's place when I was 1. I remember her tiny apartment and sitting on her couch. I tried to get down but it was too high. I can't explain it but I remember seeing her across the room while she was doing something and having this insane urge to be near her. Just be felt and to be near her smell. I whined. She told me to shut the fuck up. I have a 1.5 year old now. Every time I'm busy cooking or anything. She makes the same fuss sound I remember making at that age in my mom's apartment. I will always pick her up or include her in some way and I can tell she enjoys it. Of course there are times where you can't, but if you can. Do it.

3 years of BFS last week guess I could post an update.
I have seen 3 neuros in total, last one 6 months ago. All visits were pretty much a waste of time and money as they didn't offer any valuable insight into bfs or treatment. I also had an emg but I don't think that helped in any way either.
The evolution of my symptoms.
I would say 90% of my symptoms is still fasciculations. I had some phases where other symptoms were more prevalent but they didn't last for long. I had a phase with a fair amount of pain (unexplainable pains that came in waves in random locations and at random times, just like (but not directly correlated to) the twitching). However, haven't had any significant bfs-related pain in at least one year.
I more recently went through a phase with heightened hypnic jerks. Haven't had much trouble with them in the past couple of months, but I had a couple of nights where I had a really hard time falling asleep due to them. (Took me several hours to fall asleep).
I have had a pretty much constant hotspot under my right eye for the past 7-8 months. It has disappeared for the past few days, but it has done so before and always came back. When it's active it never stops for a single second for days a time. It's not as annoying as other twitches though.
All in all, I would say the frequency of my twitching has increased over time on average. This is making it harder for me to accept living with this condition for the rest of my life. No other significant bfs-related symptoms other than the ones I mentioned.
I have tried pretty much any suggestion or remedy and they didn't affect bfs in any way. Not only that, but it doesn't seem to be related to anything else going on in my life. Food, sleep, mood, exercise, supplements, drugs, weather, etc. Bfs just doesn't give a shit, it has a life of its own within my body.

I actually saw this movie a few days ago but I've been a busy bee and haven't had the proper time to formulate a good post for this but now let's give this a shot.
This movie was damn near perfect. I'm not exaggerating. You need to go see it. Even if you don't like superhero stuff, it's a one of a kind gem of a movie and honestly after thinking about it I can say without a shadow of a doubt this is peak cinema.
The animations? Godly. Those animators better have made bank from that movie because I don't think any other studio is touching them for the next couple of years. Just animating one character alone took so much precise timing and fine tuning. S Tier shit.
Soundtrack? Flames. Metro Boomin made is Boom as he usually does with his normal music and that's not different here for Spiderman. As well as Daniel Pemberton with the score. chef's kiss
The Villain shocked me. At first Spot didn't really seem like he'd be much of anything in this movie and I was waiting for the real big bad to pop up. I can't name a movie off the top of my head that can turn a literal joke of a Villain who was kicking himself in the balls in the beginning, to someone who can distort and cause havoc to entire dimensions. That's how powerful this fucker becomes, it started to give me chills. And this multiversal threat doesn't even want to destory the multiverse...he just wants to take everything from Miles. Which makes him more terrifying now. His obsession is something else.
Some old characters didn't return which was a bummer but new characters did! Like Spider Punk, who was very unique in design. And Miguel, who was...much more ruthless than I remember him being.
I did have one single gripe with the movie.
And no, it wasn't the way it ended. Sure, I was upset in the theater and even Cursed to the Heavens in my seat but honestly, stop and think about it. With the way the plot was going, do you know how utterly long that movie would have been? They were just now starting to reach the climax of the film, they had just introduced new villains, brought back old characters, new adversaries and so much other stuff. That movie would have been 4 hours long at least. This movie wasn't trying to rush the plot either which I respect. Plus you're telling me I get to see these people make another perfect movie in theaters? Sign me the fuck up.
My only, and I mean only complaint is that one plot point. "It's a canon event". Look, I get where Migeul was coming from 100% but what had me a little annoyed was how willing EVERY other Spiderman was willing to sacrifice their loved one because its meant to be Canon? Yeah right. That's so out of character for SO many of those Spidermen. Even if their tragedies already happened to them, they can't just expect this brand new Spider-Man to let it happen to someone he loves. Imagine trying to tell Peter Parker "let Ben die, it's Canon." Yeah, no. I'm not buying it. I like the idea of the plot point but if should have been tweaked somewhat.
Other than that though, this is a must watch. If you haven't already seen it, you need to get your life together right now. Scrape up some dablooons and go see that fucking movie.

Did my core1 a+ today at an exam centre (call me old fashioned) and I gotta say although I passed with a 758- that exam was NOT easy.

We have been house sitting people's dogs while we wait to move into a place of our own. I absolutely can't wait to not be in our own place and no longer have dogs to look after. Firstly, they are filthy and while it isn't their fault they are forced to live in an environment that isn't made for them, it disgusts me nonetheless. You can't have anything nice with dogs around. No rugs, nice couch, even good floorboards. The little bastard even pissed on our futon that we had stored in a spare room that he found his way into, thinking it was the perfect place to piss apparently. I want the dogs we are looking after to be happy, but they have been so ridiculously spoilt that the only way to do so is by giving them exactly what they want whenever they want it. When we walk them they flip out at every dog they see. The little one will pounce at dogs twice his size, rebounding right off them looking like an absolute imbecile, after which he will come to us for protection. Anytime he sees man on his own he will leap at him and try to bite him. Luckily he is a pathetic beta dog so the bite couldn't possibly do any damage. The poor postman runs away after he rings the doorbell because they bark like lunatics whenever he or anyone else comes to the door.
Then there's the ecological impact. I calculated that based on the number of plastic bags we use a day to clean up their poop, we would waste 10-13,000 plastic bags over the span of each dog's lifetime (20-26,000 for the pair). The little one refused to poop in the backyard and the owners being the omegas in this relationship just accept it and take him to the park any time he demands it. I was walking alone by the river the other day because these two idiots are so poorly socialised that they can't be walked there according to their owners (this is actually a blessing in any case). There are other dogs that live near the river and bark incessantly. This can actually have a very negative impact on bird populations. Not to mention the poor possums and sugar gliders that live near the river that must be affected by them. Apparently the dogs we are looking after have killed possums in the back yard before as well. Then there are the 9,940 chickens killed to give chicken necks to each dog over its lifespan if they live for 13 years. Of course none of this is the fault of the dogs. But seriously, how is it worth having dogs? For someone in the countryside, like a farmer, I totally get it, but not in the suburbs or the city.
