I really want to create my own! Each recipe I use, I take note of an ingredient that worked well. Like dry milk and psyllium husk WHOLE, a simple 1:1 flour or a mix of your my own blend. I want to take wash “best” ingredient and make a recipe from them.
I guess I’m asking if there is a formula, so to speak, for creating a gluten free bread recipe.
For example, for every 2 cups of flour add an egg. Or, for every egg add a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. Type of thing.
Maybe I just pick one and tweak it over time. Maybe it’s just trial and error.
Has anyone here created their own gluten free sandwich bread recipe?

Looking to do a quick mini cut and go low carb. Strong but just not seeing muscles pop considering how much I’m working out and feel fluffy. 40/F -5’6 -122 - lift heavy 3-4x/week, 11k+ steps per day, Pilates 2-3x/week.
I know it’s about CICO obviously but just looking to optimize, thinking I need to cut carbs. Usually have toast, smoothies w/banana/berries, quinoa for my complex carbs daily. Eat extremely clean, no packaged foods or sugar (only from fruit) & occasional treat of chocolate granola cereal. Have celiac so already gluten free & also no dairy. I LOVE veggies - big ass salads everyday with carrots, peppers, tomatoes, vinegar. Dinner with cauli rice, peppers, broccoli, green beans, etc. Plus a lean protein - chicken, turkey, fish. Going to cut out the banana/berries smoothies, toast, quinoa but do I need to worry about the carb intake of all the veggies? It can really add up. I feel like when I cut calories, it’s hard to feel full if I don’t have more volume to eat without going way over protein. Currently try to keep protein at 115-125.

For 34 years of my life (approx), cereal has been the highlight of my day. It's sometimes the reason I get up. I genuinely love it, and would quite happily have it for every meal.
My body is apparently trying to fight me on this. First I got T1, but I went, you know what? I can lower carb the rest of the time. Cereal time is sacred. Then I turned coeliac. But I stuck two fingers up to that and pay a ridiculous amount for gluten free cereals. Then hypothyroid came along, and I now set an alarm an hour before I need to get up to take my thyroxine, just so I can protect my lovely cereal time.
But realistically, during pregnancy, I may have finally reached my limit. My BG is generally stable, but mornings are...not. I've gone from 4 units for my cereal up to 11 units, and even then I am injecting an hour (!) before I eat sometimes, spiking horrendously (eg to 18!), and then dropping like a stone to some horrible lows.
The thought of not having cereal though is...upsetting. It's ridiculous, but it feels like that little pocket of the day that is just mine. I can't face the thought of cooking eggs or something. I love the cold milk and the crunch of cereal. If I try having fruit, I'm still left feeling as though my day hasn't started. I even tried low carb cereal but they just tasted like sweeteners. I am adrift.
So please, what are your best breakfast recommendations that aren't too high carb and that are still exciting enough to get me out of bed?
I realise all of this is basically a ridiculous ode to cereal. But. Help.

Hi! First of all, English is not my first language, so apologies for any mistakes in my writing. I don't have celiacs disease; but my dad's new girlfriend and her kids do. My birthday is coming up and I'm planing on inviting them; however I don't have any utensils that haven't been in contact with gluten before. I'm baking my birthday cake and want to make it gluten free, but having to buy brand new pots and moulds is kind of not an option bc of the prize. Is there any way for me to use the stuff I already own without risking cross contamination? I was thinking that maybe using wax paper but don't know if it will work. Any tips are welcome! Hello fellow sufferers,
I've recently been trying to eat more healthily. I've been gluten-free for years, I'm just now also trying to focus on upping my consumption of traditionally healthy foods, i.e. fruits & veggies.
I bought a bunch of fruit and ate a couple pieces of it with a meal (apple, orange, pear), then felt sick. All of the food was certified GF (and was stuff that I'd eaten before safely) besides the fruit.
While looking at the labeling on the fruit bags, I saw that the fruit claimed to be coated in food-grade wax. After some searching on the net about this topic, I haven't been able to find much other than that there are apparently some wheat wax coatings used in the food industry.
Has anyone else heard of/run into this being a potential problem or had bad experiences with it?
