I might be unlike many people here in that there was a specific part of the second trailer that first showed off the sky islands that I always had in the back of my mind. I wasn't usually directly excited for it specifically, but I feel like it definitely contributed to the hype I had for the sky islands. It started at :50 in the second teaser from 2021.

I don't think I need to go to this location in the sky to prove to you that there is no collection of sky islands like that above or near above thundra (you can see the mushrooms that are near thundra). The only thing there is courage island.
Tbh one of my only complaints of the game was that I wish the sky island was more expansive. It seems like earlier on they had fully modeled and designed terrain for more expansive sky islands, but they scrapped it for some reason. The use of stone huts and arches that are found mostly only on the great sky island seems to indicate that either a: there was originally intended to be vast sky landscapes to explore that would give a similar feeling of discovery that was in BotW, or b: they cobbled this together for the teaser, copy pasting buildings used on the great sky island to make it seem like there's more substance. I personally don't think they'd just cobble something together for a teaser which basically amounts to false advertising, so what happened? I heard that somewhere Aonuma said that too many sky islands were blotting out the sky but honestly I don't feel like that's a good tradeoff. All I'm hope is that something like these islands in the picture are in dlc or smth.
Anyone else feel the same about this?
