I’m going to be flying out of Orlando FL to Albany NY tomorrow. Many people around me have mentioned the wildfires causing visibility issues for NYC. While I know low visibility can cause delays/ cancels, if I do end up flying, is flying through smoke anything to fear? In early stages of planning a move to upstate NY from TX. Reasons include leaving the oppressive heat and politics behind… also our son for safer and better schools. I first worked as a barista in spring 2022, that only lasted a few months though, but I loved it. I started planning on moving from Albany NY to Louisville KY in around DecembeJanuary, and in order to save up I started working at a Starbucks. My coworkers were fantastic but I really couldn't stand the job, but I needed the money. Not even a month ago I made the move, and started putting in applications, and landed a position in a locally owned, very good quality coffee and espresso bar, and just earlier today they asked if I'd like to get 5 days a week of work from now on! Everyone is so nice, the coffee is fantastic, the espresso machine is brand new and so much fun lol, and the tips are good. I'm a very happy barista and I just wanted to share my excitement.
