Did my core1 a+ today at an exam centre (call me old fashioned) and I gotta say although I passed with a 758- that exam was NOT easy.
I studied using comptia E-Learn material - I learned ALOT from this resources and the lab which was cool. Tips for anyone taking the exam soon- the questions can be worded sometimes to trick you and often there is a key word in the question to guide you to an answer such as what’s the BEST option. What’s the MOST LIKELY or what’s the FIRST thing you do.
It’s a shame because although it was difficult in its own way- I was hoping I’d get tested to be able to show off all the facts I’d learned about networks, ports, wifi standards, cabling standards etc.

And yes, I write poetry sometimes.
I am fascinated fairly often by everything, or many things, at least so you won’t be bored. These last days I ended up reading a lot of things about Egypt after reading about Ottoman chief eunuchs being exiled to Cairo after their tenure. In general, I really enjoy the humanities. I follow politics keenly – in fact, there is some chance I might have some thoughts on your country’s politics – and I’d say I am on the centre-left – pro-choice, in favour of a robust welfare state, LGBTQ+ rights, affirmative action. If you know about Brazilian politics, I voted for Marina and Haddad in 2018 (the voting age here is 16), and Lula last year.
As you can imagine, I also really enjoy reading and writing. Besides poetry, I have often thought about writing a novel, but this seems like too much work – and it seems that it would be arrogant of me to write a novel having lived this little, though it wouldn't be uncommon. I really enjoy learning about other languages and cultures and I know a bit of French, German, Spanish, and Russian, besides English and Portuguese. I’d really like to learn Arabic and/or Mandarin. I am really into genealogy, and I know quite a bit about it. I often cry while watching dumb movies (I cried during Minions!) or listening to beautiful music; my music taste has been described as “fairly gay” and in movies as “slightly gay”.
I guess I am pretty introverted, polite, and timid (well, I am on here after all). I am affectionate and I can be really passionate as well. And I am fairly funny, or rather, I have made a few people laugh over the years. I asked a close friend to describe myself, and that is what he said:

As for what I want to do with my life, I am unsure though I am inclined to go into academia. I have been considering applying to a PhD program in the U.S. after finishing my undergrad here in Brazil. My family does want me to go into their business, which is related to politics. I have also considered going into diplomacy.

4 years ago I met someone special and I made the decision to follow him to New Zealand from Europe, driven by the desire to build a relationship. Hi all,
I’ve been looking at the DJi pocket for some time. Mostly for hobby use for family videos when out and about to practice getting good quality footage and editing and perhaps some green screen fun with the kids.
I went on a bit of a rabbit hole with pocket vs Insta360 as I saw some comparison videos where the stabilisation in Ai looked better and the 360 photo concept seemed cool.
However I’ve seen other comments that basically say if you’ve got a good quality camera phone it’s better to use the phone gimbal instead?
Can anyone else comment on the pockets quality (and any Insta360 users too if there is any) vs phone quality. I’ll be upgrading to an iPhone 14 pro soon for reference.
The main thing holding me back is that the pocket seems great for just pulling out and being a bit more discreet rather than being a bit more obvious for some footage when hiking with the kids and using a gimbal for phone.

I, 20M last summer ran into an old classmate, I'll call him Max. Hi all - Irish outsider here looking at the possibility of moving to Canada within the next year and just doing some further research. I've been reviewing various tax calculators / government websites to get an idea of the federal / provincial tax rates (which I now have).
I'm wondering does anyone on here know what the main deductions one would expect from their annual salary? From what I can see, the main ones (outside of federal / provincial tax):
- Employment Insurance @ 1.63% up to a cap of $1,002.45 per annum
- Canadian Pension Plan @ 5.95% (matched by employer then as well and seems to be capped at $3,754 between both the employee and employer)
Is there anything else outside of Federal / Provincial taxes and the above two?
Was also just wondering what types of pension / savings & investment accounts are typically to the go to? From my research, it seems the following are the main ones:
- RRSP (seems to be the equivalent of an Irish defined contribution scheme), whereby you can contribute up to 18% of your earned income up to a limit of $30,780 and effectively not pay federal / provincial tax on these contributions and they can grow tax free.
- TFSA (where you pay tax now but then the investments grow tax free and can be redeemed tax free - similar to a Roth IRA in the USA, up to an annual limit of $6,500 in contributions.
Anything else saved / invested after these two goes into a standard savings / brokerage account then after taxes and interest / dividends / realised gains & loss etc.. would all be taxable as per usual.
Have a missed any other obvious saving / wealth creation methods here or does this seem to be the main account types?

I haven't been playing this game for very long, and mainly bought it for its career mode. While i was a little disappointed with player cm, manager cm has sime potential. The only problem im facing is that my transfers and tactics are too bad? The purpose of this thread is to just kind of ask what matters when doing tactics and what to look for in transfers, and what im doing wrong right now. Sim seasons only btw.
The last cm i did was with Como in Italy with mostly a 3-4-3. Now my idea was first to try to play from the back with fast wingers, target man striker and midfielders with good passing, especially long balls. So i signed some great passing defenders (that were also fast, read that that was important with back three), and great passing midfielders, 3 with long passing traits. Changed tactics to do long passes and changed roles to suit the team. Depth was low so that defence would be safer and wingers could run into more space.
That did not work at all, 3 seasons in serie b with great great players, signed from much better leagues. At some point i started googling good tactics for my formations, did half a year with each formation and tactic setting, until it just wasnt good enough. The players never got better and all the stats looked dire, so i sold and got new ones, but still everything just didnt look good. I changed tactics every year until i gave up and got like 5 regens into my team that all went up to at least 90 rating. Still i was barely getting into the conference league. I had gvardiol in my backline signed from liverpool just to languish midtable, both fast and a good passer should be perfect right? Well no. None of my strikers except cutrone which i started with was ever good. one of my wingers was decent in the last season, when he was 95 rated.
This is kind of just destroying the fun i wanted to have in the game. I want to understand the tactics better so that i can do "miracle runs" or whatever with worse teams, but that never happens. I always have to sign stupid good players to even be contenders for going up a league, and its not realistic. If anyone can give some advice it would help.

How well does he fare against every single Cape, Villain, Hero, Parahuman, etc?
For this scenario, let's use EOS (End of the series) S-Class Hiei, at the peak of his power.
Unlike the heroes, Hiei will not hold back against anyone. He will go for the kill in every fight he gets himself into.

I have a cockatiel for 2 years more or less. I got it with 2 week and fed him by hand until he was able to eat for itself. In the first year and a half he was lovely with me, sleeping in my shoulder or net to my chair, askin for pets and kisses and all but, in the last moths he has become more and more agresive towards me. He no longer want to go near me or to play with me. I think i did something wrong in the past but i dont get what or how to fix it.
For the record, he behaves well with other menbers of my family and i am the one to give her food to open his cage and also (what i believe is the problem) to cage him again.

in accessibility -> hearing aids -> pairing, there's a issue, you cannot pair two different things, for this instance i have two cochlear implants, same brand, different models, but it can as well be a cochlear implant and a hearing aid, it can be as well two different hearing aids.
While pairing i can pair one, but i cannot pair the other!
the phone does not let me!
because the pairing system is set in such a bad way.

I had a miscarriage the beginning of last month after trying for over a year, it was my second pregnancy. My doctor said that once I had my first period after I could start trying again. I tested HCG out and was doing OPKs to kind of track when I’d get my period (my cycle is pretty normal and I’m a control freak lol). I ovulated two weeks ago per the tests.
Well in that time I had sex twice. I assumed it took my so long the first time, it wasn’t likely to result in anything. Turns out I was wrong and I’m pregnant again. I’m having my progesterone and HCG levels tested. Has anyone had a successful pregnancy that close to a miscarriage without a period or did I set myself up for failure?

Nothing absolutely wild, and pardon the formatting, but I (16M) have more piercings than my parents know about. My parents are both very negative about piercings (not certain why, father can’t stand them, mother is really finicky) but quite recently, I bought a piercing kit in order to do my friend’s ears.
I’m also on some medication that makes it a bit harder to curb my impulses (nothing nuts, but I’ve already got OCD, and it makes me obsess over them more.) so, Monday night, I did my eyebrow. And on Tuesday, I did my other eyebrow.
I’ve got bangs, so they’re easy to hide, and the only people who know about them are some of my friends. The piercings are healing well, because I’m obsessive about keeping them clean and such.
There’s not exactly a way for this to end well, but I’m near certain they won’t find out for a while. I just really needed to get it off my chest, lol. I know my dad is a reddit user, but I don’t think he’ll see this, but that’s probably pure hubris.

I am playing as a tall technocracy with tons of vassals and a federation. Well a federation member colonized a holy world.... and we immediately got invaded. Their overlord soon surrendered to the kahn and then that made me in the war with the FE by myself????????? I was on the otherside of the galaxy and never even set foot over there... I surrendered to get it over with so I could focus on the kahn, they murdered my ruler. He was 200ish years old by this point and was a chronofuge with TONS of good traits.
I will purge them both, I do not want the FE buildings/planets. Id rather exterminate them. How dare the ignorant spiritualist FALLEN empire dare to kill one of us, not to mention our chronofuge ruler.
Should I devolve all of them? Should I just crack their planets? Idk what the neutron sweep thing does but should I do that? I only have the cracker and devolve tech so far.
It will be a while until Justice is served, but my people shall never forget this barbaric act of flagrant belligerence. We are a vengeful people it seems.
I plan to vassalize the holy world offender and then release them later when I can make sure no one will intervene, then I will destroy them.

Did any of you experience the travesty of the deal between Jersey Mike's and door dash yesterday? I went to Jersey Mike's and there were 20 dashers waiting for food. The store had 4 employees and well over 100 sandwiches to make. I waited 15 minutes for my order and unassigned it after only 5 orders were completed in that timeframe. After leaving, I had to drive far from the Jersey Mike's zone because I was continually getting orders from that store. Jersey Mike's is not set up to handle a "happy hour."

You no longer need to build break effect on Kafka
Hello everyone! Raine here. With the newest updates on Kafka's kit, Break Effect has been almost entirely decoupled from her kit.
On top of this, her old E1 (For anyone who has forgotten, her old E1 made it so that her ult procced all DoTs rather than just shock) has been added to her BASE KIT.

What does this mean? Does this mean that I just pulled Silver Wolf yesterday for no reason, assuming she was a great support? ...yes, but shes still a good support! In fact, it's rather a good thing that SW isn't mandatory, and that Kafka isn't useless against non lightning weak characters.
As for what the best build for her right now seems to be, I don't know. It'll take more time and thinking, probably from people who are much better than myself. I always have the mindset that if you don't know something, you should leave the answering of the questions to people who know more than you, so I'll leave it at that.
Break Effect Serval is still a potent option, however. This ends up being very good for Kafka, since you only need to break a single time with Serval rather than twice with Kafka, so pulling off a single break shock within the 3 cycle limit of the MoC is a lot more reasonable to get the damage ramping. If you've been farming Talia pieces, it isn't a loss at all to run Break Effect Serval.
Furthermore, BE Kafka may still be good, but the potential team comps unlocked by these changes means that a Kafka Sampo +1 DOT core may be superior due to her not being limited by her needing to build Break Effect to use her passive as well as the inclusion of her E1 in her base kit.
My personal first impression is that Kafka Serval Sampo +1DEF or Kafka Serval SW +1DEF will still be excellent teams.

So, I raised my queens on the big blind. Small blind and button calls. flop is all low cards, short stack first to act goes all in with $75, and I make it $175. The button folds. Small blind flips over his cards, showing two pair. I muck my hand, and as soon as im about to muck the button who had folded to my raise already, asks the dealer to show my cards.
And the dealer exposes my hand, i found it pretty weird. Dealer justified by saying its to avoid collusion because you re raised and made the button fold his hand. I couldn’t really get it. Is this even allowed? Even if it is, Is it bad etiquette?
